i think we as minnesotans need to do a tribute to Al Lindner
the man is truly remarkable
he put minnesota fishing on the map
he made In-Fisherman what it is today
i cant imagine where fishing would be today without al's contributions
what an absolute class act
he not only is the best fisherman around he is a great guy and loves to share his secrets with even us normal people
lets all salute Al for his great style, character, and for making us all better fisherman

I had the pleasure of meeting Al many years ago when I was asked to head up a committee for a spring sports show at our local shopping center. I contacted In Fisherman and they said Al would be happy to come down and put on seminars for the weekend. It was a tremendous success. I spent time with Al and his young son who also came along. What a true gentlemen. A couple of years later I ran into him again at the Minnetonka Bass Classic. Again what a true gentlemen. In no way did he portray to any of the other contestants the fact that he knew anymore than the rest of us. He fished that year and the next with Ted Capra and both years he did not win the tourney, but that didn't change his outlook on the outcome. He definitley should be a write in candidate. He has never lost sight of his goals or promises "To give all of us the best, and most complete information about our favorite sport of fishing.

he is a strong christian
and a great role model for people of all ages
how can you not think he is worthy?
does anyone know how i can get a poster of al lindner
i have been looking for one everywhere

I agree. Isn't Al getting out of the In-Fisherman and starting a christian fishing network? I read that in the paper awhile back.
