I have a 14' lund without the small deck on the bow that you usually see bow mount trolling motors on. I have a transom mount and have been experimenting clamping the motor near the bow, with wood used as a spacer, sandwiching the aluminum. There is a little more flex than I feel comfortable with and I really don't want to dent or warp the skin of my boat. Has anyone done anything like this before, and did you end up wrecking any part of the boat??
