I'm heading up to my uncle's cabin on Yellow Lake this weekend to do some ice fishing. Has anyone been out there lately? Are there any areas we should try for perch and panfish? How is the ice holding up with the warm weather? I'll report back when we get home. Thanks for any help.

I got back a couple days ago. We had a ok luck. The trip started out bad. We dulled our blades on our auger and bent the shaft in the first hole we drilled. Luckily we had a backup. The ice was about 30 in. and it gave the auger all it could handle. We fished on the east side in 4-8 fow with weeds and caught quite a few gills. Some were pretty big. We caught all our fish on waxies.

Biggest was 49 inches ,,but that was when I was fishing for them ...the rest I have landed while fishing for eyes any where from 4 lbs to 18lbs ,,,those smaller ones sure have distinct markings when they are young
