Camper additions

BANDERSO

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

With the camping season getting closer, i'm thinking of all my have-to-do's. My wife and I are expecting our first child in June and I don't think there is going to be enough room in our present camper that is an older 18 footer. My question is without having to buy a newer or larger camper, where can a guy find one of those 3 sided additions that you can butt-up to your camper for extra room? I have been unsuccessful finding anything online as of yet. I am pretty sure I will get the floor this summer when the baby arrives if I don't address this issue!!! Please help:-)

Thanks,

Barrett

Are you talking about about panels that attach to the awning? We had a Starcraft and that feature came with the rig. Check with the dealer of your camper first. I've seen them in the Camping World catalog, too. We got a hardside last July and really miss the screenroom.

Kinda like a hard sided screen room attached to a camper. I have been thinking of attaching that to my camper and using it as the main sleeping quarters. My camper does not leave the seasonal that I have it in. So this would be set up and just left up for many years.

Thanks fellas,

Suggestions noted. I chicken scratched some blue prints to run by a local carpenter to see what he could come up with also. Thinking about 2x2 stud walls, 2x4 floors and roof. Tin on roof and since ply board is pretty reasonable right now thats what I'll put on the walls and floor for now. Trying to keep the prices down.

If you get to know some of the other seasonals at the campground there is usually a few guys who live for building this stuff. They all get together on the weekends and help each other with thier building needs. All you would probably have to supply is the beer.
