Any body know of a 8-6 rod at fairely good price?? Been looking, got some good ideas but any ideas will help!

What's a good price for ya? Lots of good rods out there. Hard to tell someone what they will like. I like to personally hold the rod in my hands.....even though I don't own one that long, I think my favorite longer rods are All Stars, I personally like a faster tip for slinging tails, especially lighter smaller ones, some like a tad more backbone. Everyones's different. I would like to check out the Pete Maina rods that BPS carries....Fig Rig is another, a bit more expensive, maybe upper middle? Can't have enough rods....might have to do some searchin myself here soon.

I'd second the Pete Maina rods from BP- tons of guys really like 'em and you can't beat the price.

Muskieman, I hear really good things about Keith's rods (Professional Edge)- they also might be worth a look.

Now it is no secret I am in love with my Thorne Bros. Diamond Backs but they are priced as such.

Now I have tried the Mania Rods and they are a good rod. The Guide Series I was not impressed with. Talk to some of these custom Rod guys Like Scoot, Pro edge, Troy Pike, Thornes so on and so forth. They may be able to take what you think you want and put it into actions and length.

I know when I have a rod built I say something like "I want a long rod that will really wing a bucktail, sensitive enough to feel the blades spin yet strong enough to bury the hooks" The rods guys know just what you are looking for, it's what they do.

Well I plan on Making the Muskie show tommorow So I hope I get to look at a few rods and then stoping by Thorne Brothers on the way home. I hope by then I will have a good idea of what kind of Rod I really want!!
