ChuckN
Time for a positive post of good samaritans, particularily a fellow snowmobiler. A group of us went for a long ride on Saturday around Douglas and Otter Tail Counties, and later that night we realized one of us lost a wallet on the trip. Last confirmation of the wallet was about 70 miles back. Calls to a couple businesses turned up nothing, and we could only imagine that someone found it left on a table at the last stop(s) or it's lost in the deep snow....somewhere, long gone. Groomers likely groomed over the trails as we passed them on the way home. 24 hours pass and a fellow snowmobiler happens to stumble across the wallet, finds some articles scattered in the snow and picks it up. This person calls the sheriff department, but also trys to find the owner to the wallet by finding names in the phone book and places phone call(s). I can't thank this person enough for seeing a strange object on the trail, turning around and doing what he did. Everything was returned and it is a huge relief. Just sharing this experience hoping everyone would do the same in this predicament, and that there ARE good people in this world!
