harvey lee
I will be traveling to Leonard this next weekend (9,10,11 ) and am wondering what the snow depth is. A little shed and coyote hunting. Leonard is approx 45 minutes sw of fargo along the Sheyenne river. Thanks
iffwalleyes
Marine_Man said they had 22" in Lisbon this afternoon. Sheds might be tough to find with that kind of cover. I am out of town this week so I don't know how much Valley has right now but I heard we had about 12" last night and it snow today more.
harvey lee
They would have to be the bigger variety of sheds for sure. I usually look by the big round bales andf9+ they will fall off while eating. Hopefully they have not all dropped yet. I know there are some big boys around that area. marine_man
I haven't left Lisbon in the last day and a half Tom, but if it's at all like it is down here it'll be tough going. Since last Saturday we've gotten at least 22" of snow, and probably more like 28" of snow here in Lisbon. The wind has really kicked up today and is blowing it all over the place making travel difficult.marine_man
harvey lee
Ya, I just got off the phone with the gentleman that does the road plowing for the township there. He stated that its a snowy mess. He also said that he would take the road grader down there on Thursday and plow out the road and driveway. Boy those ND boys are kind.
marine_man
Yeah... sounds like a heck of a deal. I'm really amazed at how much snow we got here... My chocolate lab, who's no shrimp, is having a heck of a time getting around in all the snow. It's over the top of his back in some spots. I'm going to have to put a marker flag on him so I don't loose him in the snow marine_man
harvey lee
I never put all my Christmas decorations away so some are still in the yard somewhere. The deer I have are 46" tall and you cannot see them.

harvey lee
Yes, I go fishing and hunting as much as possible. With a great wife that knows I love to hunt and fish that makes it much easier to do. I do thank my lucky stars.
CAJ
Harvey Lee I went out this morning in NW North Dakota where I always find some sheds by the irrigations where the big round bales are still all in a row. I couldn't even see the bales for all the snow that drifted over them. I did find one small shed on the road. Lucky, nobody got it in a tire. The farmers just hate the sheds for that reason CAJ form NE Montana
harvey lee
Thats normally where I look for my sheds is by the round bales or by the nearest fence that they have to jump to get to the hay.

firstbiggestmost
I spent all day Saturday snowmobiling around Leonard. Let me just say, there is a a TON of snow around Leonard. So much that it would be difficult to walk around many fields. In some areas where the snow had blown in the snow was chest high. I don't know that I would want to be out walking around in the fields at this point. We rode the sand hills in the afternoon and the story was similar. when someone got stuck, it was usually in waist deep or more snow.We saw some deer running around in the sand hills and it looked as if they we're struggling to get around. For me, I would make different plans, but thats just me!Good luck!
