Vegas Changes....

Recommended Posts

Chicagoland. Chicago is 18 in the turns, 10.5 roughly on the front and 5 on the back.. Vegas 20 in the turns, 9 on the front and 3 on the back.

One could argue that Kansas would be pretty close as well.

Without seeing any racing yet, to me, this seems like a change to yet another cookie-cutter track.

So..even though we have a few with some really good history (atlanta, Charolette, and some may say texas, who all have 24 in the turns) we now have yet another track somewhat like it.

So...now we have races at all these tracks with all the same basic configuration. atlanta and charolette will always stand out and they seem to have their own personalities, but outside of that...I don't think they are much different.

I thought I read somewhere that they were using Homestead as a model for Vegas. It's not like Chicago since Vegas now has progressive banking much like Homestead. That's the biggest change, and improvement IMO, is the progressive banking that Chicago does not have, nor any of those other tracks.

Texas is 24° as is Charlotte and Atlanta, but I don't believe it's variable. I think Homestead was the last track to change and that was just 3-4 years ago. Made it a much better race to watch and I hope it does the same for LV. The speeds are going to be through the roof when they get there based on testing earlier.
