Big Cats in Wisconsin? *DELETED*

Recommended Posts

Yikes.. Those glowing eyes are just.... spooky...

We've had lion reports up in this neck of the woods as well.. My boss, along with my aunt had seen one on back to back days in the same general area this past summer...

Those are some pretty sweet pics, but they've been circling the net for awhile. I've heard North Dakota, Wyoming and now MN for them.

I don't discount that there are big cats in WI, but there sure aren't very many. I know quite a few guys that run coyotes and bobcats for a lot of years, and no one has ever seen a legitimate cougar track in WI. Because if they found it, they'd surely run it and hopefully get pictures at the tree.

I just wonder if its a pet or escaped 'domestic' raised cat. I've never heard of a wild cougar nosing around homes - not even out West.

I also agree with Nolte, that baby would end up in a tree for verification! Also, wouldn't you call the DNR and/or take pics of the tracks outside you front door?

I received this photo from my dad who lives up in Hayward. This photo was taken on Feb 15th at a home near Moose Lake. It looks like wolves, bears, and humans aren't the only predators up north.

I used to be on a muzzleloading forum and about 2 years ago that picture showed up. The picture was actually taken in Idaho. But, I have heard there is cats in the St Louis River valley(ucomfirmed) but there were cats near Boulder Lake and Whiteface up past Duluth(confirmed)
