TUMBLEWEED
I am attaching some mono onto thebraided line on my Rattle Wheel.Never connected a line to a linebefore?? Need some help from someof you old pros out there. Thanks
slick2526
You could use a uni-to-uni knot on your line. But eventualy the the braided will cut into the mono. My first Choice would be to use the smallest bearing swivel you can get by with and use the palomar knot to connect both ends of the line to it. The first time you try you might not get it right. Just try it again but tieing the opposite line first then the one you tied before.
Guest
I use a small swivel to connect mono to braided. Never had any problems.
Ishmel
I use a nail knot to attach my fly-line to my braided backing, and another to attach my leader to my fly line when fly fising. I think that would work for mono to braided.[This message has been edited by Ishmel (edited 01-02-2002).]

Creek Kid
At the risk of sounding like a smartass... buy a book. One of the best investments I've ever made. You wouldn't believe some of the rigs you think of while practicing!

TUMBLEWEED
Wow, Thanks for all the help everybody!! This site never ceases to to amaze me.Since I look at very small electroniccomponents at my job, I have become VERYfar-sighted and have a hard time evengetting the blasted line through the eyeof a hook. At work I use a magnifiervisor, which I think has lead to the problem. So no playing around with practicing knottying for me!! I opted for the swivel andimproved trilene knot rig. Thanks again!!
