Vex humming, no lights anymore

This happened last night, turned on the FL-8 with a fully charged battery, good connections all around and I can hear it running, but no lights at all on the dial.

I would assume a wire came loose inside, but should I try and fix it by opening up the case? Or can someone recommend a place to get it serviced? Thanks for the replies.

I guess the question you have to ask yourself is how mechanically inclined are you. You can order the parts from Vex, and their techs will walk you through the process.

I would bring it right to them, they are right in bloomington off old shakopee.

I brought my FL-8 to Vexilar on Wednesday and they fixed it while I waited. Great Customer Service.

Had the same problem a few year ago and brought it to Vexilar for a quick fix while I watched. They charged me only $20 and gave me 2 vex. hats to boot. The problem was only a little bit of corosion in the connections from moisture because it is not a sealed unit as they told me. Its worth a try just to save the drive. Good luck HTB
