Vex FL-8 in need of a good exorsism

The old flasher started acting up last weekend. It seems to find the bottom ok but everything else just spins around and around like Linda Blairs head. Anyone else experience this? Looks like it's time for a FL-20.

Sounds like lots of interference. Were you recently fishing very close to someone else or near other flashers. My FL-8 (although newer) only does this when I get interference from other units. If you have an IR button you should use that to try tunign different channels to block the interference.

Check the connections on the back. Mine did that last year and wasn't sure what was going on. When I got home I was cleaning it up and noticed the connection was almost off.

A buddy did have his FL-18 running in the house at the time. I'll check the connetions tonight as well. I also had the IR turned on.

If someone has one of the @#$%^& Marcums nearby it will cause ALOT of interference. I have 5 IR settings on my Vex and I cannot clear out the interference caused by Marcums. I won't fish within 30 yds of anyone with one.
