Hard steering on 1995 vmax 500

The steering isn't hard for me, but for the wife.Is the best way to ease steering, to loosen the limiter strap or can the front shocks be adjusted.It does seem to have alot of ski pressure.

About the only thing you can do is loosen up limiter strap, and tighten up middle shock preload, front struts are no adjustable other than changing springs

Is the middle shock preload the shock in the front part in the track? I do have the manual and it shows me how to adjust it. Would you suggest doing both or just the strap first? I'm going up north this coming weekend so I'll tell what happened.Thanks
