Gas light mantels in fishouse problem?

Everytime I move my fishouse it seems that the mantels break anyone have any ideas as to how to save them?

trim the tag end of the tie strings close as possible. it could be they are bouncing against the brittle mantle and breaking them.

If they are Humphrey gas lights, there is a pre formed mantel that you can get that shouldn't shake apart.

  I am so very sorry to hear this and so sorry for the loss of Chamois. She was beautiful companion. We will always miss the dogs we have lost. Unfortunately we lost both of our dogs just 6 days apart in November.
