What were the old colors Marcum used on their flasher?

The older Marcums (and other brands) used Two LED lights to create three colors. That being said, two lights making three colors tended to blend together and definition was limited. TC or True color, is three LED lights with three colors making it easier to tell the difference between bottom and fish etc...

LOL RR56. .I need some of whatever your having as my LX-3 does not have the upgrade but I just checked to see if the tooth fairy had dropped by and changed the colours for me but to no avail as they still are yellow, orange and red but my LX-5 on the other hand has the yellow, green, and red you speak of though . wink.gif

My LX-3 is three years old. I sent it back to correct transducer problems, then paid another $50 to update with True Color.

I still have problems differentiating some of the colors, and I again seem to require substantial gain in order to pick up my sinker. Even when my sinker is visible, the minnow flashes intermittently... but I can live with that.

I'm fishing in heavy traffic areas, and I sometimes think that interference with other nearby sonar units may be a problem. But I don't really see any marked improvement when I punch the 6 different interference settings...

I've often wondered if Marcum offered a comprehensive tutorial, like Lawrence puts out for its units?

Thanks...
