How to post avatar?

how the heck do I get an avatar(or whatever it is called) by my name on my posts? I have went to "my home" and clicked on profiles or whatever and when it talks about the avatar I have clicked the button and typed in the url to my picture I want but it never apears. what am I doing wrong????

How big is your avatar? Can you post the address to it and I'll try it for you?

Per the My Home information, avatar's cannot be larger than 109 X 150 pixels and MUST be (maybe this is your trouble) a .gif, .jpg, .png and that's it...

Check into that, and if all else fails either post the url or e-mail it to me ([email protected]) and I'll see what I can figure out...

maybe its just too big.

would a url look like this:

file://C:My%Documents\my%20pictures\icefisher.gif

or like this:

C:\My Documents\My Pictures\icefisher.gif

Thanks for the help. I finally figured out how to do it. I used photo bucket.
