Lots of ice fishing yet this winter. One cannot give up yet. One might not be driving on the ice at all. Last year I didnt drive on the ice but only once in the southern part of the state.

Yep, there was about a 2-week span where we could drive out. The rest of the time, walking (unless you're HL and have a wheeler). Could be completely different this year. Think I better start talking to my wife about weekends up north if I want to get out now!

Yes, that wheeler comes in pretty handy come ice season.

I crossed the St. Croix in Stillwater on Thur., the MN side was all open. I thought at this point,if it keeps up like this I'll have the boat back out before the season even closes. Let see! No ice fishin but more open water fishing, I don't know if thats good or bad but the planet is evolving as it has done for millions of years. HTB
