island guy
Once in a while I get lucky and want to put a meal of fish in the freezer. I've always froze a few fillets in a freezer bag filled with water. Anyone have a better idea?
MNmikew
That's the way I've been doing it for years. Make sure all the air is out before sealing. I also like to wrap the plastic bags in freezer wrap after the bags freeze to keep the bags from getting ripped open in the freezer.I'm thinking of going to a vacuum sealer soon. BD110
I broke down and bought a food sealer. It works great on fish. They take a little getting used to. It's not the least expensive way to go but if you buy a quality sealer you should get many years of use out of it.If that is something that you may be thinking about see if you have a friend or co-worker that uses one that can give you more info or even show you how one works. I think once you see one in action you'll be sold.Good luck!!!Take care,Tom (BD110)
nytelyter
i do the bag and water thing most of the time but i also seal a few in the food sealer. the easiest way for the sealer is to par freeze the fillets on a cookie sheet before sealing them. works great. ... paul
