HOGEYE
I have a broken tie-rod end the broke and I will be replacing. Does anyone have instructions on getting to the connection on the steering rack?
ChuckN
Go the Arctic Cat's HSOforum and look up the microfiche part assembly for that sled. It should give an idea of how everything is assembled. I've worked on a few cats like that, and I don't think it's too difficult if I recall correctly. To get to the steering post you likely have to take the skidplate off and access from underneath. Just tip the sled on it's side (turn gas line off) and it should be metric allen screws that hold the belly pan to the frame. Just loosen and remove, and everything should be easily worked on from there. Look at the sled closely and inspect to see if that is the case or if any other obstacles are in the way. HOGEYE
I just drilled out the 4 rivets that held the rubber boot on and it was easily accessible. Thanks.
