BUZZ FISHING RODS!?!?

I remember a thread about this last year. The comments ran the whole range from some guys hating them and feeling they were worthless to others who felt they could catch fish when nothing else worked. I think it's a matter of what you have confidence in and how you use it.

The one's that I have seen seem to be on some pretty limber rods, therefore creating a slower wobble in the lure. I was thinking that if the "Buzzers" were on a stiffer rod, the acton would be better, more "bumble bee like" for lack of better description. Maybe those are out there, but I havent seen them yet. From what I have seen, it seems that I can do a better job with my own two hands. Just my .02.

ive never used them before but what i have tried is ill put alindy glo tail on a genz worm and put it in the water and look down at it shocked.gifdont actually jig it but just tap your rod just above the handle making the tip wiggle youll see the tail on the jig has a nice flutter to it but not so much to scare the fish away its worked for me and i think is what the buzz stick is doing only in a toned down fashion

I have one and i have used it a total of maybe 4 times in 3 years. it dosent really change the bait enough especially when your fishing deep water. i would say just get a normal rod and jig it hard, once you find a grove it works good.

I am always a skeptic when it comes to items like this. I am sure that they could possibly benefit you in certain situations, but i would prefer using a regular rod and work it without the assistance of a battery.

I found it really interesting while watching my brothers camera last weekend how little you actually need to jig to make your bait bounce. If you can, it would be ideal to take a look at your baits with a camera to see how it actually looks jigging your normal routine. I would do this before trying to rely on a rod to create action.
