trollingforeyes
For Christmas my dearly beloved is getting me a new Lorance X25C which uses the MMC cards for mapping. Question is who has the best/most accurate mapping out for this unit.
0 Jeremy airjer W
The question should be which one has the most amount of maps for the lakes you fish? I have personnally used lakemaster software for the last 5 or 6 years and there lowrance chip for almost a year. I am pleased and thouroghly enjoy both products. What it came down to for me when considering the chip is Lakemaster had the most maps of the lakes I fished or wanted to fish.
0 whitetips
Since we are talking a unit that is not Hard Drived, is that correct? If so than for MN There are about two to 3 chips that will cover most all Lakes. First is Navionics North Premium, a new version is scheduled in 2007. This chip has Higher Def on some waters and DNR lakes that are not on a Lakemaster also LOTW is 5ft on US side, it also covers 5-6 states and Canadian shield lakes in MN. to Laker Superior. No.2, is the Lakemaster 2007 MN Promap chp that has many new updates including Red Lake in 1 Ft, which is not on the Navionics chip in 1 Ft, but is DNR mapped. The 3, individual Lakemaster High Def for Lake of the woods, Devils Lake, and some Tournament Waters chips for certain Lakes. Those two chips will cover most lakes one way or another, If there is a lake not mapped by either just reply when purchasing online which ones you would like added to the list. If its not two late the x26c HD is preferred over the x25c for future mapping and custom mapping coming down the pipe, I know and understand money and the price can sway a purchase GLuck
