YourBobbersUnder
Does anyone have recommendations about brush mowers to pull behind ATV's? I need to clear a bunch of pricly pear that is overrunning some woods. Thanks
Dave
I've been using a Swisher roughcut pull behind mower for about five years and have had good luck with it.
elevatorguy
My Dad has the same one as Dave we really like it. We mow our field and it will take down smaller brush pretty easy.
luckey
We use a Swisher RT44 brush mower for trail maintenance. This is a down sized brush mower with it's own motor. It is basically the same as the PTO powered tractor version only smaller. (44 inches). The rough cut mower mentioned by Dave, is simular to a lawn mower while this one has the two swinging blades like a brush hog. We have used it for three years now without a problem. Last fall I cut over 7 miles of trails along with a couple food plots. Usually if you can drive it over with the wheeler, the mower will hack it to bits. You can't turn very sharp and backing can be tricky on rough ground, (the back of the mower will dig in.) Over all we are very pleased with the performance of the brush mower. YourBobbersUnder
Thanks Luckey. What kind of maintenance have you had to do and how easy is it to set-up?
