Anybody have one. I see scheels has them on sale for $99. Thinking of it for my 2 sons, 11 and 8. What type of floor is on them? Input appreciated.

they have plastic floors with some carpet and flip up doors to fish through, i love my clam and im sure your son's will too, i just picked up a couple strings of led lights for it now i just have to figure out how to attach them to the canvas, anyways i think it would be a good buy for your boys, also check out my responce to the "best 1 man portable" thread, and at $99 its a steal i got mine last year for $199 and i think the clam HSOforum has them priced at like $220

I was at scheels today - the clam 2000 for 99.00 is last years model with the flat roof. This years model has these 2 poles that criss-cross on the top and raises the roof up about another foot. You still cant stand up in it - and i actually think the extra poles that criss-cross look like it would be more difficult to set up - but i cant prove that. In any case, last years model for 99.00 is a great deal - and I may pick one up tomorrow too.

I bought a Clam 2000 last year at Gander for 200 and mine has the two roof poles. Its a great little house for two people. A hundred bucks is a great deal for it, and I bet your boys would really like it.

my bro has the clam with the domed ceiling and hates it, it is very hard to set up.

Picked 2 up at Scheels in fargo today...was there when they opned and 5 minutes later they had already gone through a pallet of 10. Dont know or think any other stores are selling for this cheap -and I am pretty sure the scheels would be out of them by now anyway...I dont think there are any Scheels in MN. I have been at Scheels in ND, SD, and Iowa. They are basically new big "superstores" for sporting goods, hunting and fishing etc...I just happened to be in Fargo for work this weekend -

ok first of all i am kind of mad because i was all phsyched up to get this shack. i paid $230 for it last year and have been kicking myself. i thought it was the flat roof one but no i got the domed roof. it's not that bad but i can't hang anything off of the roof. it is kinda weird to set up when it is -20* out as well. now i hear they have the one i want for only $99. yeah.......angry!
