H20C and Lakemester or Navionics

I know there is much discussion on these products. What I am wondering is this. Does the Lakemaster chip show you all major roads, backroads, Gas Stations, Restaurants and phone number, street address and so forth? Does the Navionics show you the same stuff just more States?

2) No.

Navionics has far more lakes, but LakeMaster has an amazing array of travel information: every road imaginable, airports, cities, countries, landmarks, lake services, hotels, restaurants, public land, churches, other businesses...

What I have noticed on my Lakemaster map that some back roads have a state name. For example: if you are in some middle of nowhere traveling on what you know to be County Road 12, the road on your gps may say 114th lane. Does this make sense?

Yes it makes sence. For example I live on CR #9, which is also known as 411th ave.

Yeah, that is a bit annoying at times, like when you'd really like to know what number county road you're on... What it tells me is that somebody is hard at work upgrading these chips to include all ofthe 911 addressing. (Hey, BPW: You'll probably get the new chip just to see if 9th St finally shows up, eh?)

Yep, that is the street address. I believe almost all counties went to that a number of years ago to simplify the system for fire and rescue if I am not mistaken.

So what does the H20C show you right from the box. Does it have any maps built in?

Sure, but they're very low quality. Straight lines and zig zags for shorelines, and of course, no depth contours. The chip draws the shorelines very accurately along with adding all sorts of land map features, roads, etc.
