Ontario License

I plan to make a trip up to Muskie Bay Lodge on 12/30/06 and stay until 01/02/07. I already have a 2006 seasonal license, and will purchase my 2007 seasonal when i get up there. My question is for a friend of mine, who does not have any ontario license right now. Can he purchase a 7 day license to fish over that time frame? 2 days in 2006 and 2 days in 2007? Hope to get good feed back. Or I'll call the MNR if no one has had this experience before. THANKS!

I checked my Ontario regulation book. It says that a 7 day license is good for 7 consecutive days from the start date. It does not indicate if it has to be issued in the same year. Based on that I would say the year change makes no difference, but I think I would give the MNR a call.

I think your friend will have a hard time doing that. Our season ends Dec. 31/Jan. 1st, so I think the 7 day license would not work, but still worth a phone call 807-468-2501

I bought a 7 day last year over new years week and I only had to buy one.

I called the MNR # Hemlock posted. They told me, my friend would need to purchase a license for 2006 & 2007. It looks like I need to do a little further study on this one. If he does need to purchase 2, it would make sense to get an 8 day conservation on 12/30/06 and an 8 day (regular license) starting 01/01/07. The total for this would be $24 and $41 total = $65 (us)
