Bruce Mosher
Today I was out on Union Lake in Polk county to check out some hot spots for Ice Fishing and came across a nice 3lb Walleye. It's sure going to taste good for dinner! Caught it on a perch colored rapala in 17 feet of water. I couldn't check out my hot spots because of to much ice on the lake but it was fun! hanson
Hey Bruce-You notice any ducks or geese out there while that pesky walleye was on your line???
Bruce Mosher
Yes, while my dad and I were trying to work our way north around all of the ice their were quite a few ducks sitting out in the middle of the lake on top of the ice.It was fun to get out with the boat, burn some Sea Foam thru the gas and properly put the boat away for winter. Now I need ICE!!!!!Bruce Mosher

The Grebe
Well, I didn't get the boat out, but we are still river fishing. We were out Sunday afternoon and got a bunch of fish. Quite a mixture to, walleyes, pike, bullheads, crappie and catfish. The thing is, most of the fish were small. A couple of 3-4 pound pike and the cat probably weighed about the same, but the walleyes were in the 10-12 and 14 inch range...we'er gonna have another shot at them tomorrow and I think that will about do it for the season....time to think ice fishing!
