Toyota 4Runner gas mileage: V6 vs. V8

Hello, I'm looking for a little real-world gas mileage info from people who use Toyota's 4.0L V6 and the 4.7L V8.

The mileage difference between the two engines is only a couple of miles per gallon on 4x4 4Runners, but that is by EPA's estimates. (My fishing boat can easily be towed by either vehicle).

I'd like to hear what people are actually getting with either engine (non-towing). Thanks in advance.

I average 17mpg city/highway with that 4.7L V8 in my Tundra.

I get 16 with my V8 Tundra.

I got 18 with my V6. It is a 2002, however. That was mixed highway and city.
