Hyfax runners?

Here's another question...I have the Otter lodge...what specifically will the hyfax runners do...are they woth the extra 45$?

They protect the sled from wear. If they wear down, you can replace them.

If you have a new sled, you may want to wait till year end and buy the hyfax kit. I did and paid $25 for mine.

Worth every cent to me. They take the abuse of dragging over sharp ice or gravel and they help your house track better. I tel everyone who asks about any type house to get the hyfax.

Hyfax is a must rather you pull it out by hand or by machine. Tracks better like said above and will also save the wear on the tub. I used mine all last year and can see the difference the hyfax made even with only pulling by hand.

Buy a set, you will be glad you did. I used them last year for the first time. I had to pull my shelter over pavement about a dozen times fully loaded and I couldn't believe how much the Hyfax were worn from that. But if had no Hyfax I would be replacing my sled.
