Poor me...

I just had to whine since it looks like I'm going to have to miss my first deer opener since the age of eleven.

I was luck enough to live through a serious skin infection on my leg which plopped me in the emergency room and intensive care for 4 days when I went into toxic shock. Thats the good news that I'm thankful for, but the hunter in me is going crazy since I'll be limited to elevating my leg in a clean environment on opener. My goal is to be 100% by muzzleloader though.

my wife had a bad infection that got into her blood after our first kid was born. the doctor said just 20 years ago people died from stuff like that.

I would spend more time being thankful than sad, you can always get them in a few weeks with the smoke pole!

Hope you are feeling better.

Thanks guys, don't get me wrong though, I am very thankful to be able to hunt again.

I thinks the deer can sense my weakness, there were three of them 70 yards out the backdoor last night.

Good luck this weekend fellas...
