LaZyDayZ
Hey all,Picked up some hand warmers in the cave at cabellas for about $25 they seem pretty decent even include a thumb warmer.Anyways I wired them in on the same wire that runs the 12 volt accesory plug as recommened in the instructions. What I dont like is this line is always hot. I would prefer to install them off a line that was only hot with the key on.Any suggestions on what I should tap into for running only power? Thanks,
zent
I wired the hot for the hand warmers to the head light, the only time there is power to the hand warmers is when I turn on the lights. Zent
Dave
You can probe wires to see which one is "hot" and which ones aren't, when the key is on, with a prober sold at most auto parts stores. Walmart probably even sells them.
hovermn
harbor freight sells digi probes for around $2.99-3.99. I have 2 and they work great. If you find the + lead from the key switch to the coil, it'll only have juice when the key's on. You could also run a line straight from the coil +. The headlight is also a great option.
