I had the underside of mine done by a guy near Mankato. Charged 125.00 I think, Its about 2in thick and I think it makes a big diffrence. Its really durrable and seals up well.

The guy who did mine also makes fish houses. Its Chunks fish houses and he is out of Madison Lake Mn. Its something like urathane foam, its becoming more popular in houses. May just try looking for an insulation company around where you live.

I asked our local Insulation place and the stuff he has needs to be covered. He said the couple he did for Floors they had plywood down and must have had 2X2 and they filled in between and then put Plywood over top. He also said my 8X16 and cieling would run $600.

i wrote wigwam resort up at LOW becasue i had seen lots of shacks up there that had the whole thing done with the spray foam. they said they were not going to use it anymore becasue they are starting to have some rot. makes me think twice about using it. the other option i was thinkning about was just using the pick closed foam insulation, but i dont know the best way to hold it tight to the floor. i want to avoid coving the whoile thing with plywood. i have looked at menards for all kinds of sheet material to used but nothing is rated to the low temps and elements of icefishing. maybe holding it up with thin metal strips across the bottom???

i just so happen to run a bio-based spray foam insulating company.unfortunately its in extreme northern minnesota.if you can find someone who can spray a high density foam it also acts as a vapor barrior, and you should'nt have any rot problems.the cost is higher than fiberglass, but well worth looking into.if you have any problems finding someone,i can mabey help.
