Tom Tom Go, or other vehicle portable GPS

LwnmwnMan2

Question

I do firewood deliveries, and when it's night time, especially in the rain / snow, it's almost impossible to see house numbers, unless they're on a mailbox or a light right above them.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with any of these units and how well you like them.

Right now I run out of all the mapbooks to get me to the street, but then you're usually trying to figure out which house is the one you're going to on that block.

The other thing I was wondering, is how well it does with taking you the shortest route, or the fastest.

Usually once you're in the cities, it's not that big of a deal to get from one side to the other, I know most of the "make-a-moves", so will the GPS leave you stranded once in a while???

I love the garmin NuVi. IMHO, the money is really well worth it. I only use it for leisure travel and yet I think it is indispensable. If you also use it for work, it is a no-brainer. If I had to drive around for a living delivering stuff, I would get it in a heart beat. It really simplifies your life.
