Stradic
Hey all, quick question. Anybody have any ideas or pics on how and where you mounted your license plate onto your machine? Thanks.
SomethingFishy*
I can get you some pics later, I went to the local suzuki dealership and got an aluminum plate ($10.95), I had the lady from custom signs ($20.00)make the background the same color as the machines and had her put the letters on. I then mounted it to the rear rack extender.
CFRay
I put mine on the round steel bar immediately beneath the rear tool storage box. Hangs there from three plastic zip cable ties. Good Luck!
Stradic
Yeah, the only thing I could think of was to drill holes in the rear toolbox cover to mount my plate and I definately don't want to do that...then again, it's not like that toolbox is waterproof or anything but I will take a closer look at that bar thing. Why doesn't Polaris make a spot for a plate?

Stradic
Hey thanks for the pics. I guess I should have mentioned my 500 is stock yet, no rack extenders.
SomethingFishy*
rack extender runs about $70 but it also gives you a place to mount your ice auger. I'll be putting my auger mount on the front rack extender as i don't want to give up my cargo box and backrest.
Stradic
I ended up doing it the way CFRay did, double zip ties on the bar under the tool box. Thanks all for the help. -Strad
Try Too Fish
I fabricated a bracket attached to a aluminum plate that fits over the receiver hitch and use the receiver hitch pin to hold it in place. I can still have a hitch it the receiver tube. Worked great!
