ICE FEVER!!!!!!!

I have really been looking forward to this upcoming ice season all year. I had about a three week time frame that I was able to ice fish last year due to work which was a real bummer. My boss had a sitdown with me yesterday and expressed concern over me leaving my job (in Florida) to move back home (Minnesota). I guess the fact that I generally spend a good deal of my breaks looking at ice fishing equipment, snowmobiles, this forum, and the forecast for MN clued him in. I can imagine I would have been all that more excited had I also been there for snow in the air and temps in the 30's. Unfortunately it was 86F here today frown.gif When people ask me where I am from, they generally reply "I bet you are glad to get out of that snow and cold" or something to that effect. Well, I couldn't disagree more. I love winter, the snow, the cold, and everything that goes along with it. wink.gif

I'll have to agree with Northlander! As much as I look forward to first ice, sittin over that freshly drilled hole and listing to the hum of my electronic's I still want to enjoy this fall.

The feeling is in the air, but the body just ain't ready for this extreme cold weather. It is only a matter of time and we'll be sittin on a slab of ice somewhere. For now I've got pheasant hunting and Ripley & late season bow hunting to enjoy grin.gif

*Don't get me wrong though, I'm pretty stoked about this years ice season!*
