Deer hunting land?

I feel your pain. Wish I had the $$$ to buy some. We used to lease about 2000 acres for dirt cheap until 8 years ago. It was sold and we were chased to public land. Its not the same, but deer camp and deer hunting is great. I am just glad to be blessed with the opportunity. Good luck to you. Hopefully you find somewhere to hunt!

Yeah I hear what you guys are saying because some of the hunting land that I will hunt on this year will be sold next spring, so no more hunting there. Im going to look hard for a good 80-200 acre junk of land in the park rapids, bemidji area to buy. I go to Bemidji State right now and have bow hunted the state land around here, and thats fine, but when rifle season comes its a joke and everyone is fighting over stands and spots, and I really don't need that, cuz when I deer hunt I don't want to see or hear another person for miles around.

I for one am from texas and although DOVE hunting is 100 times better there Deer hunting for your average joe is not you see although texas is so big most of it is privately owned. I can tell you I would have never experienced deer hunting if not for living and working in minnesota as well as duck and geese which i have just started on this year as well as pheaseant. I am glad for all the public land they have in minnesota i thoroughly enjoy it i take the advantage through its ups and downs. I try to be respectful to other hunters and be friendly and courteous.

That's why us sportsmen NEED to participate and support organizations like Pheasants Forever, MN Deer Hunter's, National Wild Turkey Federation, etc.

I helped start our local PF chapter and we have added HUNDREDS of WMA (public hunting land-FOREVER) to our county just in the past 4 years.

I alone cannot afford to buy hunting land, so I hunt where I can get permission and on state land. At least my kids will be able to do the same when they grow up.

Don't you think that by the time our grandkids, kids are old enough to hunt, that unless you own your own land there won't be any place to hunt. Every year they are passing new laws that have to do with public or state land.

I just had this discussion with a hunting partner Sunday I came to the conclusion that the land yo look at buying now will not get any less in the future. Its just that the prices around here what Iam looking at is $2,300.00 an acre that can not be tillable due to low lying and swamps. to me that is a lot!!
