Cooter
Top the leftover fish with cheese(yes, I am from WI) and warm in microwave til cheese melts. Meanwhile, toss two slices of bread in the toaster. Add tarter sauce and lettuce if you want. Makes a good lunch. The toasted bread helps offset the soggy fish.
Havin' Fun
Out of curiosity, I'm wonderin how many people eat day old fried fish? If you do, what do you do or how do you eat them? I'm curious as I use to throw them away, but now I eat them cold with some hot bake beans and dip the fish in the beans. It's surprisingly good.Any other ideas? I suppose you could break them up and make fish sandwiches.
CrappieMagnet
Why not break them up and put them on top of a salad? That's what i do with my leftovers.CM
bart simpson
Yep, I'm with Cooter. Fish sammich on a toasted bun with cheese and some mayo. Even though it may be a little soggy, still beats the ^%&% out of a McDonalds filet-o-cardboard.Nick
BLACKJACK
I love cold fried fish fillets, when I fry up a bunch of Red Lake crappies I always fry up more than what we can eat so we have some left over to munch on later that night or the next morning. Just add a little salt and eat, or throw them between some bread for a sandwich.
stoneeyes317
Although I haven't tried this, I would think that one could get out some taco shells or tortillas, salsa, sour cream, lettuce, etc. and have some mighty tasty fish tacos...eyes317
Lake Alice
Whatever I don't eat I freeze right away. Then you can pop it in the toaster oven at 425 for 15 minutes and get it crispy again, put a slice of cheese on it and make sandwich like the guys above do. Just did this last night in fact. TheGuy
Cold! About 4 or 5 hours after dinner, with a beer. When the guys and I go to the Bdub we always make extra fish and eat it around the fire later that night. We don't have the beer with it, I wish we did. Best snack we have up there!!! Just love it!------------------Get the Net!!
