Rubber Roofing (101)

Need advice on where to get rubber roofing materials, the process and cost to cover a 8' X 16" that currently has a tin roof on it.

My son & his buddy bought a nice used one but want to rubber the roof. Thought maybe you justed used like a 1X3 for a molding, secure one side $ pull the rubber over tight to the other side & do the same. Then the ends the same way and paint the trim molding 1 X 3 ?

I told them I'm not sure a piece like 9' X 17' could even be found in a roll, and was not sure how to attatch it to the house.

I assume it is stretch fittied and secured at the edges some how where it overlaps the side wall a few inches ?

They thought maybe some contact cement was used on the roof as well so a little help from you rubber experts would be greatly appreciated.

I would also be intrested.. my roof got damaged from a hail storm and needs to be replaced.. i would like to put the rubber roofing on..

So, anyone want to split a roll? I only need about half for a 7x12 house. I'm in the sw metro and would be willing to help anyone needing help, if we can practice on your house first!
