ice_it_06
Need advice on where to get rubber roofing materials, the process and cost to cover a 8' X 16" that currently has a tin roof on it.My son & his buddy bought a nice used one but want to rubber the roof. Thought maybe you justed used like a 1X3 for a molding, secure one side $ pull the rubber over tight to the other side & do the same. Then the ends the same way and paint the trim molding 1 X 3 ?I told them I'm not sure a piece like 9' X 17' could even be found in a roll, and was not sure how to attatch it to the house.I assume it is stretch fittied and secured at the edges some how where it overlaps the side wall a few inches ?They thought maybe some contact cement was used on the roof as well so a little help from you rubber experts would be greatly appreciated.*** Its a wood sided house with a sheet metal roof that has numerous seams rubber/tar filled. ***ice_it_06

I'm in the sw metro and would be willing to help anyone needing help, if we can practice on your house first!
