Down to Earth
Here you go Buzzsaw. A great game to watch. I thought the Vikes had it wrapped up there. I wasn't going to bring it up, but since someone did, may have been you, I thought the refereeing was poor the whole game. I'm getting more and more impressed with the Vikings Defense, but they need to find a way to score touchdowns instead of FG on their drives. Hopefully they'll rebound on the road next week at Buffalo.
Spinner1
"what avatar would you like me to upload?" Pier has provided a nice selection of Brett action shots to choose from. Thanks Pier, I never realized just how hot he is. Now get one of them posted up Buzz. One of my best friends is a huge Bear fan. I gotta drag him over to see it. TNFL
The football gods giveth (carolina turnover) and they taketh away (unforced fumble). Man, the game was in hand. If chester takes that hand off cleanly and they punt no way chicago wins that game. Just my opinion.
buzzsaw
I said the same thing to my friend as we were walking out of the dome!! His whinning was killing me!! It was a tough loss, but at the same time we played with them and better than them at times.... I DO NOT fear the Bears, I do however respect them. Fear was facing those 49er teams with Montana/Young to Rice!!

Windy City Walleye Hunter
DTE,Fear was what was most on the minds of every offense in the NFL in 1985 when they saw the little CHI next to their team's name on the schedule...Agreed? DA BEARS! Windy

Windy City Walleye Hunter
Marino, Clayton and Duper also NOT Super Bowl Champs that year. Though that was a huge drag of a Monday night game to watch. Even harder for me since DA BEARS have always been my favorite football team and I wanted them to tie the record, but I did like the Dolphins in the early 70's. Greise, Czonka, Kick, Buonoconti (I am sure I butchered the spelling of the names but I was too lazy to google the correct spelling). I even had a Dolphin helmet the I wore when we played pick up games as kids. Windy
Spinner1
WindyJust jerkin' your chain as usual. I really believe the '85 Dolphins were defending the honor of the '72 Dolphins on that fateful Monday night. I don't know if you recall, but many of the '72 team were in attendance. I'm a skins fan and the '72 Dolphins wrecked my season. And you should see my B-inlaws den. It is a shrine to Dan Marino. He has it bad. Signed jerseys, helmets etc.
buzzsaw
Speaking of Undefeated teams...My neighbor (Bob Lurtsema) is the guy that was called for roughing the passer (Greise) on 4th down near the end of the Vikes/Dolphins game in '72!! Had he not roughed him, they would have lost that game and the history books would look different! I saw him before the Bears game last weekend and he told me he still gets christmas cards from Shula! Not sure if he was kidding or not....
