orangestew
Has anyone seen these lighted duck decoys? Is it a joke or will it really work? It was in the one of the adds the other week. It has 40 led lights on it that fash 4 times a second. This is supposed to give off flash like a spinning wing decoy. I was just curious if this would fall under the motorized ban during the first week of the duck season or is this a way around that rule? The DNR better quick make an addendum to the rule book before these catch on!
Flick
Yea who knows about the rule. What I do know is those things look absolutely retarded, and I would laugh my a$$ off if I ever saw someone using one.
Ufatz
Okay, here's the way I understand it: you can use the decoys with red blinkers on odd days and the green blinkers on even days. You cannot mix red and green blinkers in the same set as it would tend to confuse the birds. And you must never use red and green mixed near the end of the season as it might confuse Christmas shoppers. Whatever you do you must NOT display blinking yellows as it is an obvious caution-warning signal. It IS permissable to use a white light decoy to find your way out of the swamp. Now you know. FarByondDrivn
Are you serious? I haven't seen these things yet. You would think it would scare the bejesus out of those early morning ducks.
Harty1384
I saw one at the game fair didnt look all that appealing to me. You never know they might have some scientific study that they conducted that says it should work. All i know is that i dont think i will ever own one. They look rediculous to me.
