What bait tonight?

2 of us went out after work yesterday. First we started trolling crawlers, we caught a couple smallies, sunnies, and rockbass which is fun but doesn't put anything on the stringer. We then tried rapalas starting about 7:45, within 5 minutes I thought I had my first walleye of the night on, then when it was getting closer to the boat I realized it wasn't a walleye and I was thinking wow thats a big rockbass. I lifted it out of the water and to my suprise it was a 12" crappie grin.gifgrin.gif. So we tried for a little while longer with no more success on rapalas. After dark we switched back to crawlers, which caught us some more sunnies. Then, around 10:00 my buddy had something big hit. He was reeling in (or at least attemting to) drag was going out, rod bending waaaay over and all the sudden SNAP. Lets just say he needs to work on his knot tying. The hook snapped off right at the knot. But oh well, what ever it was is still down there.

I am going to go out again sunday, maybe try some minnows because from what I have heard northlander advice is good advice.
