I bought a new motor over the weekend and hooked it up to a garden hose when I got home. The water stream from the pee hole comes out as a fan shaped spray instead of a tube shaped stream like my old motor. Is this normal? If not how big of a problem do I have?

Whaaat? fan shaped, do you mean like a cone ?

If so try to blow some air into it or use something to clear up the hose

I have 40 four stroke Merc that has a normal stream out of the [PoorWordUsage]er. It is three years old. The first year of the injected four stokes.

It almost sounds like you have a female motor. Does it have to be trimmed all the way down to pass water?

It kind of reminds me of my old college roommate after a night out. Not a dry spot within 3 feet of the bowl.
