Lake Michigan charter Labor Day Weekend?

Any tips for 3 Twin Cities couples looking to find a charter on Lake Michigan for this coming weekend? Not in need of trophy's... just steady action. Any recomendations?, 1/2 day?, 3/4 day?, full day? Where to go? Who to charter? Please help us out, no time to research with such short notice.. Thanks in advance for replies!

I would recomend going out of algoma and fishing one of the kinns catch boats or else elite charters. The Kinns boats always seem to come in with huge boxes and have great package deals. Elite charters is owned by the same people who own opti-tackle and are also very knowlegable. If everyone is booked you could always look for a boat called the lamprey.

Get a morning charter or evening charters. Not late mornings or through mid afternoons. I'd also reccommend the shortest trip available during those peak times.
