Bobby Bass
I don't want to say it has started but I think with an early and hot summer we are going to have an early fall bite. Last night I was on a small Lake north of Duluth and water temps were 74 On a whim we were throwing large spinner baits and were reward with some 2-2.5# bass up in the shallows. The thing was the Northerns were slamming everything that we threw out there. Spinnnerbaits, Buzz baits and stick top baits were all getting big time hits. Had several fish completely clearing the water on their rushes. One buzz bait had three northerns go after it at the same time, I hooked one while another flew over the top and a 3rd flashed at the boat coming from the direction of the strike. the fish were from 3-5 pounds and we had two fish in the 35-40" class slashed at us right at the boat. We quickly went from Bass fishing to Northern fishing. Hoping this is the start of a fall bite, with water temps slowly starting to drop I am reminded why I spend most of my fall fishing instead of working. Team Otter
There's plenty of time ahead for a great fall bite. I can't wait.

SpecialK
You know there are times that I really miss being married and having the kids running around needing to be taken to sports or school functions or what ever. The wife needing you to do this or that to help her out. This time of year isn't one of them though... (btw I am divorced and my children are grown)
