Upgrading LCX-15 to LCX-17M - transducer/GPS question

I am planning on upgrading my LCX-15 to an LCX-17M. Do I need to replace the existing transducer and GPS module as well, or can I use the existing ones?

Yes I think you do but Im not positive. Someone positive will chime in Im sure.

Check lei extras online. They may have adaptors for the connections.

Reeds sports has an awesome deal on this right now. Check google for their HSOforum if you don't already know it then look at their front page where it says they're selling it for 1/2 price. I think it's against forum policy for me to put a link here, or I would.

They're like $449.99 with transducer (single frequency) or 479.99 with dual freq puck. Basically 1/2 of what cabelas wants. I don't think they have the no-transducer model online.

Thanks for all the replies. General consensus seems to be that I probably do need to upgrade the transducer and the GPS module. I ended up buying the LCX-17M GPS combo unit from Reeds so I'm covered either way.

As far as the existing transducer and GPS module for the X-15, a buddy of mine already has dibs on those. If that falls through for some reason, I'll let you know.
