good morning,

has anyone used, fired or had any experience with the stoeger 2000 model shotgun?

I also heard stoeger shotguns are somehow related to Benelli

This new 2000 model claim to use the same chambering and firing mechanism that benelli uses?

anyone have any prices they have seen them for without naming any companies or whatever.

i was wondering wheter to go for a mossberg 965? i think it was or the stoeger 2000 model

overninght i was reading some reviews about the stoeger model 2000 and there are alot of complaints about misfires specially with remington loads so im kind of weary although others claim that any other loads work just fine.

anyone have any recomendations for any SEMI AUTO shotguns that run in the range of 600 bucks that are reliable i want something to use for both 2 3/4 for dove and 3 inch magnums for duck and geese in 12 gauge.

I paid, last year at Cabelas, $500 for both the cantilevered rifled barrel, and bird barrel in the M2000. I've since used it for pheasants, deer, and turkeys for one season each (light-use on the turkeys, only test-patterning).

For the money, it's a great gun. I really like it for slug-gun, and i've never had problems with jamming or not-cycling the shell as some have noted.

Pattern the thing, mine's a foot left at 40yds. I'll get a second bead put in to correct that I'm thinking though.

You should be able to find a Remington sp for that, or go to the Mossberg 9200, or the 935 Mossberg.

I own several Mossbergs and not one has ever let me down, can't say that for my $900 Browning Gold Hunter in 3-1/2.

I bought one last year at Cabelas it was the combo it was used it for grouse , pheasants and my son shot a deer with it . also I shot about 2 cases of shells trap shooting . One thing I found out it wouldn.t cycle 7/8 oz shells all the time so i used 1 oz or 1 1/8 with no problems i have talked to bennelli owners they had the same problems . I have a whole cabinet full of brownings and winchester and I will always grab the stoeger first it shoots real well is real light east to clean you can tear the action apart in a matter of seconds . the bad things about the gun the finish i feel won't hold up another thing everybody compares them to bennili there actions are similar but the finishs are not the same . I only payed $499 but got $150 credit on store credit very good gun for that price i will be using this gun til it wears I thing that i like about it if it gets scratched I don't have to lose any sleep on it.

You'll be hard-pressed to find a semi-auto, with both barrels (including one cantilever rifled), 3 chokes (including turkey choke), with a tru-glo sight for that money. Not to mention the thing is light, and the action works well in mud 'n crud. Not the best auto-loader I own, but by far the best for the price I paid.

2000 any day of the week! i bought mine last year the combo with the slug/bird barrels. i took it apart cleaned all the new packing grease out of it and took it to sporting clays and I shot did better than i do with my sbe (i must have been having a good day) it jammed once with light target loads. the slug barrel is very accurate also, i got my deer last year with it one good shot in the vitals.
