minnows

I use a small cooler equiped with a bubbler for my minnows. I also use frozen water filled plastic soda bottles to cool the water. I put the ice bottle in after the minnows are already in the cooler, so the water cools off slowly and reduces the risk of temperature shock. Oxygen and cool water are the key.

I do the same. Ice and a cooler keeps all my bait going strong. I use a styrafoam bucket and put that in the cooler with plenty of frozen ice bottles. Also a good place to put fish if you keep any.

That's your best bet........but your suckers are going to die quickly when plunged into 83 degree water.

Usually within 10 minutes..... frown.gif

That's the problem with Summertime. Crawlers and leeches for me, in 100 degree heat, minnows are a waste of money this time of year. I like the idea of the frozen bottle of water thing though...hmmm...
