JohnMickish
I see he is already using the past champions provisional to get into the race. My how the once mighty have fallen. I sure hope he gets out before his image is tarnished any more than it already is.

NAPAFISH
If a guy wants to race still, why stop him???
JohnMickish
But for a past champion to race for 30th, isn't that quite a fall from grace? If that where you would you rather race for 1st in a busch race or 30th in cup? I'm sure if the itch for racing was there and the motivation wasn't strictly for money if he wanted a quality Busch or truck ride he could get one, and have a chance at winning. I could be wrong but for me I'd rather race for first in a lesser league than be a field filler.

Wouldnt you rather race the top competiton?? Ward Burton could be racing the Busch series or trucks. He wants to be at the top. T Labonte isnt really that competitve, yet he is still out there. It seems Nascar is similar to boxing in a way, You have guys like Sugar Ray, Duran and Holyfield. Once you win a title, you feel like you still have a shot. It gets in your blood, you need the adrenaline rush. Most of the boxers that come back are usually washed up though. I for one wont say that Elliot is.
JohnMickish
Not for me at least. I'd rather race for the win in the Busch series than race for 30th in cup, but that's just me. Finishing three laps down in every race to the best just wouldn't do it for me. There are guys out there that enjoy doing that and good for them, but when you are in that bad of equipment you are not racing against the best, your just on the track at the same time as they are, and more often than not you are just a moving chicane to the good guys.
