I have a Leech Lake filet knife that I've used exclusively for the last 10 years or so. I love the knife and have fileted thousands of fish with it over the years. It wasn't until last winter that I ever had to sharpen it at all....it performed flawlessly for many years. Now, after my attempts to keep it sharp with crock sticks it's still useable, but not what it should be, especially the all important back edge used to make the initial cut through the scales.
I heard that you can take them to the Sportsmans show and have them sharpened, but was wondering if anyone knows how or where I can get it PROPERLY sharpened so I can once again enjoy it to its' fullest ASAP.
I'd appreciate any suggestions and/or personal experiences. Thanks ! Twitter
We went to the flats too. I dipped a tire on the rental car onto it just to say I’ve been there, but it was still pretty soft from winter melt. After seeing some moron in a BMW suv get dragged out of the muck I had no intention of repeating his stupidity.
