campgrounds close to metro?

Looking for a campground...with good fishing maybe 1-2 hours from metro area? It'll be my first this year any suggestions??

Check out the three rivers park district HSOforum. They give a listing of there campgrounds. Which from experience I can say are very nice.

I think there it one on the East side of lake Byllesby which I think is in cannon falls. DNR report shows a lot of carp and other rough fish, yet is still a good fishery I think.

We stayed at William O'Brian State Park the other weekend. I was very impressed with how quiet as well as clean and well-kept the park was. Didn't get any fishing in, but the St. Crioix river boarders the park so there is fishing to be had.
